here's a fun little ditty: emily eakes's Artist Statement Through my work I attempt to examine the phenomenon of betty boop as a methaphorical interpretation of both andy warhol and dancing. What began as a personal journey of fuckism has translated into images of sushi and foot that resonate with germans people to question their own redness. My mixed media house embody an idiosyncratic view of jim jones, yet the familiar imagery allows for a connection between corey haim, feet and nachos. My work is in the private collection of gavin mccloud who said 'YES!!, that's some real creative Art.' I am a recipient of a grant from Folsom Prison where I served time for stealing mugs and tie clips from the gift shop of The MOMA. I have exhibited in group shows at taco john's and ARC Gallery, though not at the same time. I currently spend my time between my bedroom and Berlin.
